●Prayer Reduces Stress

Psalms 61:1‭-‬4
Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.

?This world is filled with stress. We are constantly bombarded with responsibilities, challenges, and pressures. Stress will surround us as long as we live in this world.

II Corinthians 4:8‭-‬9
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

?But when we lay our troubles at God’s feet in prayer, we can feel the weight of the world tumbling off of our shoulders. God’s peace fills us as we know he hears our prayers.

Psalms 40:1‭-‬2
I waited patiently for the Lord ; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.

?God can calm the storm in your life even when you are in the middle of it. Like Peter, we have to keep our eyes on Jesus to stop from sinking under the weight of our problems. But when we do this, we can walk on water.

Psalms 62:1‭-‬2
Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

?Each new day, turn your pressures over to God in prayer and feel your stress levels go down.

Psalms 113:2‭-‬3
Blessed be the name of the Lord From this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord ’s name is to be praised.
