God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies.
●The story of Joseph reveals that honor, recognition, respect, validation and promotion often come from complete strangers than from immediate family.
● Even Jesus’ worst rejection came from his own people. (John 1:11) Don’t be surprised when people that should celebrate your successes plan and pray for your failure.
●The thought of seeing Joseph’s dreams come true caused his brothers to boil with vicious anger, envy and jealousy.
●It took a complete stranger, Potiphar, to recognize the blessedness of Joseph’s life.
●It took Pharaoh, a complete stranger to recognize Joseph’s unique gifts.
● It took Pharaoh, a complete stranger to honor Joseph with a position of great honor.
●Don’t be discouraged when close friends take you for granted, when family dishonor and disrespect you and when they downplay or ignore your accomplishments.
●Stay humble. True honor, recognition and promotion comes from God. Regardless of people’s hate, jealousy and envy, the same God who uplifted Joseph will lift you up.
●Remain faithful. God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. (Psalm 23:5)
