Am I Responsible To Preach The Gospel?
Am I responsible to preach the gospel? Most us like to live a quiet Christian life.
This is similar to when God asked Cain about Abel. Abel asked if he was his brother’s keeper. (Genesis 4:9)
1 Corinthians 9:16 suggests that it is agony, a woe and terrible if we don’t preach the Gospel.
We must become all things to all people for the sake of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 9: 22-23)
We have been commanded to preach the Gospel as part of the Great commission and members of the new covenant through Jesus. (Matthew 28: 19 – 20)
As part of this Great commission, we have these titles:
1. We are called the fireman of souls.(Jude 1:23)
2. We are called the fishers of man. (Matthew 4: 19)
3. We are called the watchmen of people. (Ezekiel 3:17)
4. We are called the “sent-out ones”.(Romans 10:13-15)
5. We are called Christ ambassadors. (2 Corinthians 5:20)
6. We are called the laborers in the harvest field of souls (Matthew 9: 37-38)
7. We are called fruit bearers of salvation, discipleship etc (John 15: 16)
8. We are called His witnesses to preach the Gospel (Acts 1:8)
Am I responsible to preach the gospel? Yes! It is our call and responsibility.
In order to be relevant, we have to be real. We are called to be evangelistic salt.(Matthew 5: 13-14)
Hell was never meant for humans. It was only meant for the devils and his angels.(Rev 20:10)
Our loved ones, our neighbors and where we work are some places to be fishers of Man. We have a responsibility to preach the Gospel and save souls.
Let’s pray for God to give us burden for souls.
