Build This House
God is and still is in the business of building.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”
Psalms 127:1 NKJV
God is continuously building us and has delivered us from darkness into the kingdom of Light.
There’s something about building and the sounds and smells of something being built. When something you build comes together, there’s a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
God is always being building for our benefit. When God builds, He always builds together.
He builds for the the purpose of eternity.
“So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. Moses was also faithful, but Jesus gets far more honor. A builder is more valuable than a building any day. Every house has a builder, but the Builder behind them all is God. Moses did a good job in God’s house, but it was all servant work, getting things ready for what was to come. Christ as Son is in charge of the house. Now, if we can only keep a firm grip on this bold confidence, we’re the house! That’s why the Holy Spirit says, Today, please listen; don’t turn a deaf ear as in “the bitter uprising,” that time of wilderness testing! Even though they watched me at work for forty years, your ancestors refused to let me do it my way; over and over they tried my patience. And I was provoked, oh, so provoked! I said, “They’ll never keep their minds on God; they refuse to walk down my road.” Exasperated, I vowed, “They’ll never get where they’re going, never be able to sit down and rest.””
Hebrews 3:1-6 MSG
God is the centrepiece of the house.
Jesus is the centrepiece of this house.
God is constructing us.
Every church has a purpose and looks different.
But God is the builder of the house.
God wants us to dream bigger; to go from glory to glory and expand us for the saving of many souls.
““Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes.”
Isaiah 54:2 NKJV
The enemy cannot steal our destiny because God is building us.
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.”
I Corinthians 12:12 NKJV
Every single one of you have a part to play. Don’t be a missing piece.
We all have something to give.
Like Legos, the pieces have to come together though they are all different pieces. When the missing parts come, the Lego starts working.
Could you be one of the missing parts that is part of the greater work God wants to do?
We all have broken pieces and a past. But God can take those broken pieces and build something out of it.
God will never disqualify us when we come in full surrender to Him.
God is raising up people who will build up the Kingdom of God.
God is not done with you and I yet.
