It’s Time For You To Walk Through This Open Door

Speaker:
Passage: John 10: 1-4, 9-10
Service Type:

Purpose:
God has prepared specific doors for specific and different individuals. The objective is for us to walk through that open door.

John 10: 1-4, 9-10

Jesus is using a metaphor to illustrate His nature. Here He reveals Himself as a door.

What is the definition of a door? A door is a place of access; symbolic of a place of transition. Jesus is the point of a entry and transition. Jesus is the door of hope.

There are different types of doors; a new call, a place of a new job, a promise land etc.

Mark 8: 22-23

The blind man had to be brought out of the town that didn’t believe in Jesus or miracles. Jesus took the blind man out of the town and performed the miracle.

The miracle is not before the door.
The miracle is after the door.

Jesus held the hand of the blind man and brought Him out. We might be in a place of difficulties but God is holding our hands. Jesus is for us. He is taking us out to a place of hope, transition and breakthrough.

The shepherd is Jesus Christ. In the text, only Jesus can open the door for us.

Can Jesus really open the door? Yes, Jesus has the key to the doors.

To those who have still worshiped God and praised Him and have hoped in Jesus and believed in Him in spite of the circumstances, He will open the door for us. (Isaiah 22:22, Revelation 3: 7-8)

Wherever we go, we will find green pasture.

Pasture = Viski (Greek)= Supply

In every situation God provides supply

Supply = Mireh (Hebrew)= Provision

Wherever we are at, God will bless us according to His riches in glory.

Psalm 37: 19-
Even in the days of famine, we will be satisfied. God will never leave nor forsake you.

John 21:6-
We don’t have to change the boat or location but even where we are, we can find the blessings.

Jesus wants to get into our boat.

The situations may be the same but a change of perspective and pattern brought the blessings. Can we shift our perspective to what Jesus says?

Jesus is our access to God. We can approach God anytime no matter what we face or where we are. We can be inspired by and approach God at all times because Jesus is our direct access to Him.

We will find green pastures no matter where we are.

The fact that we have an access to God and an open door doesn’t mean the thief won’t come.

The thief will try to destroy us and our promises.

But, but, BUT Jesus has come to give us life and life more abundantly. Our weapon is Jesus Christ.
