Mother’s have been given a special calling from God to be a mother. Not every mother is ready for this call or some are even waiting to mothers. Mother’s are there to nurture and grow their children and families.

1. Motherhood is a called ministry

* People like Mary (mother of Jesus) , Eve (mother of mankind) and even Sarah (mother of Issac) were called to be mothers in the Bible. In the Bible, there are examples of both good and bad mothers.
* The responsibility of a woman is to the husband first before being a mother.
* Mother’s need to be watchful in faith and prayer.
* using the Bible as the basis for wisdom and being a Godly mother (Deuteronomy 6: 6-7, Joshua 24:15)
* read books that will inspire you to be a good and Godly mother.
* being a blessing to the community

2. Mother and Her Teamwork/Networking:

* Build peer group couples early on in marriage
* Have a network of support of friends, family and church members
* Include even non-believing family members to help raise children, with ground rules set. This may lead these family members to the Lord
* Titus 2: 3-4 is an example of such networking
* pray, discern and ask for wisdom to see each child’s unique personality and call, to love and care for the children and family
* pray for and get to know the friends of the kids
* set appropriate age boundaries and know the lingo of the kids
* pray for the kids even when they have kids
