Aligning Yourself To The Heart Of God

Speaker:
Service Type:

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is a promise from God that will not be broken (Isaiah 55:11) It is a fact of God. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to God and everything He says will be accomplished.

There is a pull when we come to Him in prayer and spend time with Him. There is a move of God in prayer that is happening in Malaysia where we know it or not.

In a time such as this, God is allowing this to happen so that our hearts are aligned with His.

When challenges hit us, our defense mechanism is to think forward into the future for better times (future glory) or we reminisce about the past victories and accomplishments (past glory).

Dreaming with God isn’t wrong. However, if we are not sensitive to what God is doing in the present moment, we may miss out on the present glory. He is interested in our now and He wants us to have hearts aligned with His.

When we are aligned to the heart of God, the purpose and the will of God will be revealed to us. (Psalm 119: 112)

What is the definition of inclining ours hearts to God? It means leaning vertically (towards God). Our hearts can be in a resting position without leaning vertically. When we incline our hearts to God, our inner will transforms into His will and we find the will of God for our lives. (Jeremiah 29:13, Matthew 6:33)

Let’s be encouraged to incline our hearts to the will of God.

Our alignment is more than our assignment. Many of us can get caught up in doing the works of God but miss out on God in the process.

If we do the things of God without the heart alignment, we are just doing works.(1 Corinthians 13: 1-3)

God is not just looking for workers of God. God is looking for lovers who will align their hearts with the will of God.

It is better to do what God is doing in the room rather than just doing the works themselves. (Matthew 5:8, Matthew 6:21)

Let Jesus be the treasure of our hearts once again. We can go into survival mode and forget Who we are actually serving and Who we belong to.

In our waiting time, let’s not wait passively.
We can be in waiting and still contending with the Lord. There is always an action and process before the promise. Our waiting time is our processing time, which is God’s working time.

Keep turning and aligning with the heart of God. The promise is just ahead of you.

Sometimes in order for change to take place, we are the missing element in the process. It requires our heart fully yielded to His heart until we see the breakthrough.(2 Chronicles 7:14)
•Humble ourselves
•Pray
•Seek His face
•Healing of the land (our lives)

A heart that is aligned with God has a consistent connection with God. We are meant to pray not out of obligation but from love.

God is not a transactional God but a relational God; knowing the heart of God.(John 15:15)

The result of prayer will always be God. When we realize that He is all we need, that revelation of God will become a revolution that changes our lives.

How do we reset our prayer life?

1. Invite God in. God is gentleman who will never force us. We need to invite Him in. (Revelation 3:20)

2. Make connection with God. We were made for connection with God. It starts of as discipline and turns into desire and devotion. Prayer is a dialogue and a two way communication between us and God.

3. Make prayer your weapon. (Matthew 18:18)

4. Repeat it. Do it every single day.
