Be Steadfast

Service Type:

Text:
We are in a very stressful season of time, with this pandemic, where many are giving up, growing weary and losing faith.

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:”
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:7, 13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We have need of, during these difficult times, the discipline of steadfastness; to endure (Philippians 3:14) and remaining faithful.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15:58‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What are the things we need to do in order to remain steadfast? There are 4 things:

1. Do not give up praying (1 Peter 4:7, Luke 18:1, Matthew 7: 7-8, Matthew 18: 18-20)

2. Do not give up your hope (Romans 12:12, Romans 5:5, 1 Corinthians 13:8, Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 13: 12, John 14:6)

3. Do not give up on the promises of God (Numbers 23: 19-20, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Isaiah 55: 8-11, Numbers 23: 19-20)

4. Do not give up your witness or your testimony (Acts 1:8, John 4: 34-35)

In these troubled times, lets us pray to rise up with wings like eagles and not grow weary. (Isaiah 40:31)

We also pray for healing of the nations from this pandemic and His glory to cover the earth. (Habakkuk 2:14)
