Fear Cannot be Counseled, It Must be Cast Out

Passage: Proverbs 29:25, Job 3: 24-25

Bible Text: Proverbs 29:25, Job 3: 24-25 | Speaker: Rev. Benedict Rajan | The principality of fear has done more damage during the Covid-19 pandemic than the virus itself. It’s a spiritual principality that is moving behind and alongside this virus.

This principality seeks to prevent or delay the purposes of God in our lives.
(Proverbs 29:25, Job 3: 24-25)

God has a definite purpose in each one of our lives. We have to resist the fear that seeks to prevent or delay the plan, purposes and prophetic destinies of God over our lives. (Ephesians 4:27, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

Purpose:
What are the weapons and armor we need to wage warfare against the powers and principalities of darkness?

We must stand and resist the enemy and fear, allowing the Holy Spirit to empower us, putting on the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6: 10-18, Ephesians 3:16)

The armor of God is the confession of our mind.

The danger of fear: Fear and faith cannot go together. If they do, it nullifies the miracles and purposes of God in our lives. (Numbers 13: 25-30)

Fear distorts our spiritual strength and focus.

We need to declare and always be walking in the full armor of God through what we think and our imagination.

The battleground of fear is our mind.

When we have the weapons of warfare, we are ready to fight (James 4:7)

My position is not to be in fear, but to rise in faith and spread the Kingdom.

How do I wage war against fear?
In dealing with the principality of fear…

1. We need to recognize our spiritual authority (1 Peter 5:8, 2 Timothy 1:7, Ephesians 6: 10, 16, James 4:7, Nehemiah 4:17)

2. Reject the imaginations of fear (Job 3: 24-25, Job 1:10, Philippians 4:8, Psalms 56: 3-4, Ephesians 6:16)

We need to pray not only for this virus to end but also to remove this principality of fear, by faith. (1 John 4:4)

Fear is real but far more real is faith.
