At this moment in time the entire world is in turmoil, there is a lot of uncertainty, some are lacking finances, some of us are unsure of our jobs. And we are asking this question. God I have kept your word, I have obeyed you, I have been faithful, why all these things are happening to me? Can I suggest to you that your miracle is on the way! Don’t be discouraged, it’s time to lift your head and it’s time to begin believing once again because God is fighting this battle for you. He is our strong tower and we can run and hide in Him. If that is you and you are uncertain, can I just introduce you to a King in the Bible who felt the same way as you did?

Jehoshaphat was the same! He obeyed God! Yet an army was coming against him.

Let’s go to 2 Chro 20: 1-3

“It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites, came to battle against Jehoshaphat. Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar” (which is En Gedi). And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.”
II Chronicles‬ ‭20:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

(V10) Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir were not supposed to be attacked! God said spare them! God would not allow them to attack.

What do we do when the enemy comes at us like a rushing flood?

1. (V3) - SEEK THE LORD

“And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to ask help from the LORD; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.”
‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭20:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

- get down on your knees.. surrender. The only thing that enables effective prayer is trust.
- When we trust God enough we will go to prayer. If not we will seek to do everything else first because of our lack of trust in God
- Proverbs 3:5 we know it so well.

2. (V17) - POSITION YOURSELF

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.””
‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭20:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

- the position in which you face your battles will determine the victory you experience.
- The whole of heaven backs you up! If God is for you, who can be against you?
- Romans 8:31
- Don’t walk around with a victim mindset. What is a victim mindset? Ohhh this is my lot. Nothing will change. It will be like this always!
- Behave like a champion!

3. (V17) STAND STILL

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.””

- if we say we trust God and we try to work everything out, we don’t actually trust God. We actually trust our own efforts.
- Everything in life is from God and we are actually stewards of what He has given us.
- When God speaks we try to work every detail out one by one because we cannot if we don’t control everything.

4. WORSHIP your way through the storm.

“Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.”
‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭20:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

- worship is simply your heart connecting to His. It is intimacy, it is adoration, it is exaltation.
- Music, lifting up your hands, kneeling, are all expressions of worship and if we really adore someone we cannot go without expressing our love to them.
- If you want to express your love to Him don’t hold back!

God is ready release victory upon you! Today is the day! Isa 60 1-3
The whole world may be experiencing turmoil but you shall arise Children of God! You shall walk in victory! I prophesy everyone hearing this sermon will prosper! Will experience healing!
