(John 11:40)
For a time and season like this, we need this caption in our nation and the nations of the world.
Good Friday Message: The Day of the Cross
The curtain in the sanctuary of the temple was torn from top to bottom when Jesus died on the cross.
An earthquake occurred and godly men were raised from the dead. The Roman soldiers even said this Man was the Son of God. (Matt 27: 50-54)
The purpose of this message:
Good Friday is the demonstration of God’s goodness for each one of us on the Cross.
(John 3:16-17, 1 John 3:1)
Good Friday is not a time of mourning but a time of celebration of Jesus’ victory on the Cross, that brought manifold goodness to each one of us
3 Dynamic Demonstrations of Jesus’ goodness on the Cross (Matt 27: 50-54)
1. The curtain in the sanctuary was torn in two:
The miracle of new life and new beginnings. God reaches out to man. We don’t need to go through religion and tradition to get to God. Jesus becomes personal to each one of us. Jesus death and the curtain being torn signifies our direct access to God. Sin no longer separates us from God through the death and the shedding the blood of Jesus. (John 14, Isaiah 43: 18-19, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Jeremiah 29:11-12, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 1:7)
2. The earth shook, the rocks split, the tombs opened:
The natural became supernatural. God demonstrated His supernatural power. Are you ready for your supernatural visitation?
Three questions to ask yourself. The answer to the questions will determine the divine intervention of God in your life.
i) Are you plagued with impossibilities in your life? The stripes of Jesus will bring healing to you. (Isaiah 53: 5, John 19:1)
ii) Are you troubled and lost your peace? Jesus bring peace. (Isaiah 53:5, John 14:1, John 14:27)
iii) Are you stressed out? Jesus has a miracle of soul rest for you (Matthew 11:28)
3. Truly, this Man was the Son of God:
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life (John 14:6, John 8:32,36) Do you need some sort of breakthrough? From finances to emotions, Jesus is the God of the breakthrough. (Jeremiah 33:3, Philippians 4:19, 1 Peter 5:7)
