Kingdom Builder
Every single one of us have a God given destiny and purpose, regardless of what sphere of life we are in. Every single one of us are called to build the house of God.
“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.”
I Corinthians 3:9 NKJV
The church of God isn’t limited to a building or a denomination. It is people building the kingdom of God.
“From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.””
Matthew 4:17 NKJV
“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”
Matthew 10:7 NKJV
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
When we take care of God’s house and business, He will do likewise for us.
When you put God first, He will put you first. Every single thing we need can be found in God when we put Him first.
It is important to put our focus and strength in what God finds important, that is to build the Kingdom of God.
He is calling us in partnership to build the house of God. The reason is that we are co-heirs with Christ.
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
Romans 8:16-17 NKJV
The key word is together. Working together is God’s idea. The kingdom of God is more than performance and effort and is related to our intention.
Even in the beginning of creation, God partnered with Adam in His naming creation.
“And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.”
Genesis 2:18-19 NKJV
God loves to partner with us, such as Adam naming the animals.
We are made for partnership, even in God’s idea making Adam a helper in Eve.
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.”
Proverbs 18:22 NKJV
Even sending the disciples was two by two.
“And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.”
Mark 6:7 NKJV
We each have unique purposes and calls that are made to come together as the One Body of Christ
“And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.”
I Corinthians 12:16-20 NKJV
– To build the Kingdom of God requires a transformed and renewed mind to let Kingdom realities and God take over our will, to bring glory to God. (Romans 12:2, Colossians 3: 1-2, Matthew 6: 9-10)
– In this place, the impossible becomes possible. His Kingdom realities become manifest on earth in partnership with Him. Heaven’s reality becomes our reality. (1 Corinthians 4:20) We are called to be a living demonstration of Jesus and a reflection of His glory here in earth. We need to work together for His reality to come.
– In order to build the Kingdom of God, we need to know who we are. We are Kingdom people. We need to know our Kingdom citizenship and identity and to demonstrate this in the way we do life, speak and see things. We are called to be ambassadors of Christ. (John 15:19) He chose to partner with us and picked us to be ambassadors.
– We are called to be hearers and doers of the Word. We are called to do the work of the Kingdom (Matthew 28: 19-20). Every single one of us is created with a purpose that will line up with the Kingdom of God. He is not looking for anointed people but available people. We serve an extraordinary God who can make the ordinary us extraordinary and the natural supernatural. He looks at the intentions of our hearts. Can we serve Him not just with our hands but our hearts?
God is looking at the willingness of our hearts. It starts with us.
