Praying with Holy Spirit

Speaker:
Passage: Romans 8:26
Service Type:

I believe that the Lord is speaking about prayer. I feel the Lord is leading us as a church to a specific type of prayer. We are living in a powerful time of history.

God wants to put a confidence in us by seeking the face of the Lord. The confidence is to engage with God in communion, called prayer.

We are in a season to seek the face of the Lord and to pray like never before.

In Scripture, there are many instances of revival and moves of God through fervent prayer, especially in the book of Acts. In Acts 4, the people were locked into a time of prayer. It is so powerful and the only way the church can function and do what they are called to is by coming together in prayer.

In this season, the Lord is calling His Bride to pray. God is releasing a language and spirit of prayer over the church (Roman 8:26-27)

There are certain attributes of praying in the spirit, not just praying in tongues but praying being led by the Spirit.

There is a greater need to stand in the gap and pray like never before.

4 Confidences In Praying in the Spirit

1. The Intense Prayer. (Romans 8:26) It is an attitude of being serious in the spirit, connecting with the Father and the mysteries of God’s mind and heart, entering intense intercession for breakthroughs. A place of total surrender, humility. (Luke 22:42, James 4:8) We are here on earth but every part of our citizenship is from heaven and it is our responsibility to stand in the gap and pray for our world. (Philippians 3:20)

2. The Persistent Prayer. (Ephesians 6:18). We need to learn the persistent prayer in the Kingdom, pressing through prayer. Could God be creating a heart in us to press in through prayer to see breakthroughs and miracles? In persistent prayer, we are changed to become more like Christ and faith begins to build. (James 4: 7-8, Matthew 7:7). It looks like tithing our time to the Lord in prayer.

3. The Believing Prayer (Mark 11:24) Sometimes believing looks like the confessions of our mouth. When we pray, don’t be conscious of your sin nature but your righteous nature in Christ (James 5:16, Romans 5:1-2) Be simple with evil, be childlike with faith. (Romans 16:19)

4. The Prayer of the Will of God (Romans 8:27) Praying in the Spirit is praying of the will of God.

Like Jacob wrestled with God, we are being called to contend with Him in prayer. To see breakthroughs and usher in the blessing and miracles for our lives and the nations. Your faith will cause heaven to release miracles.
