Thanksgiving, Testimony and Trust

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We are encouraged to let go of the past and move forward into what God is preparing for us in 2022. To not have our hands full with the things of the past that we can’t let go off but open to all that God has for us.

3Ts to Focus On As We Move Forward

1. Thanksgiving (Isaiah 12:4-5, 1 Chronicles 16:34 ). It is an attitude of the heart and not based on circumstances. As we give thanks, circumstances may not change but our internal lives and hearts are transformed. Thanksgiving brings about miracles.

2. Testimony Let our mouths be filled with all the goodness, testimonies and faithfulness of God. As the goodness of God fills our conversations, those things that need to be changed and overcome will happen. Anxiety, shame, fear and depression etc begin to be dispelled when you share the testimony of His goodness. The people in our world also get a chance to experience that same testimony of the goodness of God in their lives when they hear our testimony. There’s always something to give thanks for. (Revelation 12:11)

3. Trusting God (Job 31: 24-28) Have we forgotten to put our main trust in God? Do we trust the things of this world more than fixing our eyes on Him? (Proverbs 3:5) Let’s fix our eyes back on the Master as we enter into 2022. Can we trust the Lord and put our hope in Him again?
