The 4 Dynamic End Results of Missions Giving 2
“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”
II Corinthians 9:10-11 NKJV
This chapter is devoted to giving and to missions giving.
“Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go to you ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand, which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
II Corinthians 9:5, 7-8 NKJV
4 Dynamic Blessings of Missions Giving.
1. In all our giving God is our primary source. God’s nature is a giving nature. (Romans 8:32, James 1:17, 2 Corinthians 9:7, Proverbs 11:24-25, Psalm 50: 10-11, Philippians 4:19)
2. He does not only supply but also multiplies. God takes care of those who give generously, we can never out give God(Luke 6:38, Luke 9: 16-17, Genesis 22:17, 2 Corinthians 9:8, John 6: 1-71)
3. In mission’s giving He increases the fruit of our righteousness. God is a generous God. The word generous is mentioned 276 times. (John 3:16) Our heavenly Father doesn’t hold His blessings back from you. It’s always about out heart to give. He increases the fruit of our righteousness in our giving. Saved souls and nations turning back to God are part of our giving(Haggai 2: 6-9). The lifestyle of a disciple is not limited to giving money but our time, worship etc as well. Giving is our surrender to God.
4. Because of our missions giving, we are enriched with all liberality (2 Corinthians 9:8, Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 8:9, Proverbs 11:25, Acts 20:35, Isaiah 48:17) God wants to bless you and expand the fruits of your righteousness and bless not only you but for others and nations who need. (Deuteronomy 8: 18) We need to start thinking as a global church and whatever we invest in the Kingdom and will impact nations.
