The Beginning Blessing of God for us in 2023

Service Type:

Pastor Rajan

“Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We can only please men or please God. If God asked us whom will we please, what would be our answer?

Let us go back to pleasing God in 2023.

God is a loving person who has given a space to please Him. We may be weak in one area but have other places we can please Him.

1. Faith pleases God (Hebrew 11:6, Romans 12:3, Romans 14:23

2. Obedience pleases God. (1 Corinthians 15:10, Isaiah 1:19, 1 Samuel 15:22)

3. When you don’t please flesh. (Romans 8:8)

4. Our actions in love (Hebrews 13: 15-16

Let it be our aim to be well pleasing to God throughout 2023. (2 Corinthians 5: 9-11)

Pastor Jonathan

Jesus after fasting 40 days, was tempted by satan. (Matthew 4: 1-25) Jesus decided where His source was despite the temptation.

If we want to please God, we have to know where our source comes from. Anything outside of God is not worth it.

Jesus knew that He came to please God.
Our expression of worship pleases God.

The woman with the alabaster gave everything to Jesus and pleased the heart of the Father.

David brought back the Ark of the Covenant. In response, David began to please God and danced undignified.

When God is pleased and you worship Him, it will always look crazy to those who aren’t in love with Jesus.

Worship is an instinctual response to Him.

If we’re not living life to please God, we are pleasing something else. We can’t make room for any problem, situation etc to be magnified above God.

His presence is everything. We can’t earn enough or do enough to earn being pleasing God. We beat ourselves up but it’s in surrender that we are pleasing to God.

When God thinks about us, He in undistracted. He has been pursuing us from the beginning. We have union with Him in pleasing God.

Be pleasing by totally surrendering to Him.

Relationship with Jesus will cost you something.

Jesus is worthy of everything you’re afraid of losing. We cannot be on the fence with pleasing God and we have to be pleasing to Him in 2023.

How much can we give to God?
If you want to see the maximum benefit of the Kingdom of God, you must be given in maximum, radical pleasing of God; being all in for Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is jealous for us. He tell us to be obedient because He is jealous for us. He is jealous for His bride. (James 4: 4-5).

Will you choose Jesus again and again? There are certain things we cannot have in our life.

In desiring more of God, we will walk in focus and in the Spirit.

We have to make a decision to be where the presence of God is.

In response to His jealousy for us, would we pray to be jealous for all of Him? We need to fight for our connection, a fight of loving Him.
