The Empowering Grace

Speaker:
Service Type:

What does it look like for a community to be in the presence of the Lord? When Isaiah saw the Lord, He saw the train of His robe fill the temple. From the presence came the voice of the Lord. It has been paid for us by Jesus to draw near into the inner courts of His presence.

Anyone who claimed to be a great man or God still have tombs here on earth. Only one tomb cannot be found and that is Jesus. He is resurrected to the right hand of the Father and lives to make intercession for us. We have faith and live from this reality as believers. We live in the resurrection of Christ.

Get your attention on the resurrected Jesus. He reigns in righteousness and truth, interceding for us and modeling the lifestyle we are to live after death. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the image of Christ is being formed in us through His intercession.

Christ in you is the hope of glory. We have fellowship with Him. Through Jesus we get to know the Father. We get to live in a place from God rather than to God; approval from God rather than to God, seated in the Heavenly places with Christ.

Our confidence in the Gospel is that we have access and face to face communion in the Holy of Holies with the Father

1 Corinthians 15:10
Paul found this grace in Christ. We get to come to throne of grace. (Hebrews 4:16)

Jesus worked through grace. Grace in Him qualifies us. We have to become dependent on the grace of God.

The Bible is a book of knowledge of the Son of God. God hides the truth from the prideful and reveals truth to the humble. It takes a journey, tenacity and heart to know His truth.

The grace of God is not only undeserving favour. We are who we are by the grace of God. Grace saw us before we saw grace (Ephesians 1)

We are called by grace. What is grace? Who called us first? It was the grace of God.

Grace is the empowering presence of God to fulfill and become what God has called us to be. By grace, we become like Christ.

The whole fellowship with God started with Him. We did not find God but God found us first. Whatever starts with God will always end with God. (John 1, Genesis 1) Our greatest journey will end with Him face to face.

If He is our beginning and our end, what are we doing in the middle? We get to journey with the Lord and discover His heart for us, our family and the people around us.

Character development and anything concerning us must be in abiding with Him. We cannot do it without Him. Abide and rest in Him (John 15) As we journey with Him, He knows where we are going.

When we journey with Him, our identity is rooted in Him. We don’t have to strive, we have access to all that He is. We develop a rest and confidence in what God wants us to do.

We are given a choice to abide or go our own way. Love is not controlling but empowers us to choose well.

He remains faithful even when we are unfaithful. What God says about me and His intention, through the Word, fellowship with Him and believers is the most important.

You can never graduate from what Christ says about us because He is constantly revealing Himself to us.

God is committed in His journey with us.
What God thinks about us is the most important thing.

The problem with the darkness is there’s not enough light of truth filling that place.

God is committed to every area and part of our lives and doesn’t regret His promises towards us. And in the journey we become more like Christ.

Ask the Lord these questions in your time with Him:

Ask Him who He says you are and what does He think about you.

How do we see God in our situation?

His perspective of us changes everything.

Abiding in Christ looks like working from love rather than love, with approval. We belong to Him and the community of believers He has called us to.
