The Grave Could No Longer Hold Him | EASTER SUNDAY

Passage: Acts 2: 24, Revelation 1: 18
Service Type:

The Saturday after Good Friday was a silent Saturday...but on the third day, He rose.

What was the power that the grave could not contain? This is resurrection power.

Ephesians 4: 9-14

Jesus descended into hell and preached to those who were in Hades in the time before His death on the Cross.

Jesus descended and ascended, leading the captives out. In the past, the righteous were below. Heaven is no longer beneath but above. He led the captives free and gave gifts to the Body of Christ.

Jesus died and rose so that we as the body could be His bride, “bride-fully” ready for Him. God calls you and then equips you. It’s the best thing to receive a Easter gift from God.

Ephesians 1: 19-23

The resurrection power is described here, with how to have access to this living hope and to walk it out.

The resurrection power gives us an access to the “dunamis” power to live a new life in Christ. We also have access to the Spiritual authority and miracle working power of Christ. The access to this breakthrough power is belief.

If the resurrection power that raised Christ from the grave, that could not contain Him, how much more us who have this resurrection power inside of us?

In this resurrection Sunday, where do you need the power of God? Why don’t you ask God for a Easter breakthrough and miracle?

Your miracle is as far as your desperation for an encounter with the Lord. (Psalm 63: 1-2)

Faith is the catalyst for this resurrection power (1 Corinthians 2: 3-5) Our faith has been in the wisdom of men for far too long. Instead, it’s time that our faith should be in the power of God.

The disease in the church today is unbelief. Without belief, we will not see the greater harvest and the greater things of God.

Three examples of men and women who had their faith in the power of God?
These people were and made:

1. A Faith Filled Decision [by the woman with the issue of blood]. (Mark 5:28)

2. A Faith Filled Cry [by the blind man crying out to Jesus] (Mark 10:48)

3. A Faith Filled Declaration [by Jesus saying to have faith as a small as mustard seed in declaration](Matthew 17:20)

The two factors needed for this breakthrough in faith?

1. The power of factor of Jesus in your life (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 10: 9-11, Revelations 3:20, Romans 6:23)

2. The waiting factor. Waiting is a power in God. (Psalm 40: 1-3, Ephesians 3:20)
