Text: “Matthew‬ ‭6:19-21‬ ‭

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

The 3 Greatest Treasure Pots this evening.

I. The greatest treasure in heaven.
2. The greatest treasure in hell.
3.The greatest treasure on earth.

Purpose: Where Would you Lay Your Treasure?

I. The greatest treasure in heaven is a soul. The only thing God values is a soul.

Why are souls so precious to God?
1.A soul was the only possession for which God was willing to sacrifice His only Son. John 3:16.

2. Despite the golden streets, beautiful mansions, gemstone foundations and pearly gates, the most valuable thing in heaven is a soul who has chosen to love God.

Luke 15:10).
Jesus said, “There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents

3. It cost God nothing to create, but it cost Him everything to redeem.
Isaiah 53:5

🔴 God paid an immeasurable high price for each soul - the blood of Jesus. Hebrew 9:23, Ephesians 1:7.

⚫️The saddest day in heaven was the day Adam and Eve were separated from God by sin. The happiest day in heaven was the day Jesus made it possible for mankind to be restored to God. Col 2:14-15

2,The greatest treasure in hell is a soul.

The only way Satan can hurt God is by stealing a soul.

John 10:10
“The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I have come to give you life and life more abundantly.

Matthew‬ ‭7:13‬ ‭

““Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”

Every time a soul enters eternity, either Satan or God rejoices. If the soul goes to heaven, God and all the angels throw a party. If the soul winds up in hell, Satan and all the demons throw a party.

Hell is Never Meant for The Creation of Man.

Revelation‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭
“The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

We Are Called The Fireman of Souls

“And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”

3.The greatest treasure on earth is a soul.

Matthew 16:26
Jesus said, “What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?”

🔴In the hustle and bustle of life, we place great value on money, cars, and houses; but when the Father looks down from heaven, all He cares about are people. A soul is worth far more than the accumulated wealth of the world.

The greatest gift you can give God is someone else’s soul.

Conclusion

T.L. Osborn said, “Jesus’ passion drove Him to the CROSS, now our passion drives us to the LOST!” -

🔴The only economic indicator of success or failure in heaven will be the souls you bring with you. The jewels in your crown will be rewards for the number of souls you helped save.

Paul the Apostle wrote, “Woe to me if I preach not the Gospel.” 1 Cor 9:16

John Knox told God, “GIVE ME SOULS OR I DIE!”

God give us Passion for Souls and Burden To Win them.
