The Power to Create Community

Speaker:
Service Type:

In these past two years of the pandemic, we have learnt that we can live without certain things and we cannot live without certain things.

We cannot afford to live without the element of community in 2023.

We are created for the community. This is God’s intention with the body of Christ.

God started mankind as a family. Sin destroyed this and separated us from God and one another.

God’s heart is for community. Jesus walked in community with 12 disciples, even with the one who betrayed him.

Jesus, apart from praying alone, always was walking with His community.

We are meant to be loved, to serve and to be served. Jesus serves us by praying for us. We are called to celebrate and be celebrated.

God celebrates you. The way the Father loves Jesus is the same way He loves us.

God transferred from darkness to light. We are part of the Kingdom of light now.

The Kingdom Community

We are called to be part of a Kingdom community. (Matthew 16:18)

Community is simply doing life together.

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭42‬-‭47‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We cannot afford to enter into 2023 without a community.

Community isn’t just about what we do but about what God is doing in the city. We have a mission to share the gospel with soul.

God wants a community full of God’s presence (Matthew 18:20). When God talks about community, it’s an invitation to something bigger than ourselves. (James 4:8)

Doing community means being intentional. Being intentional means doing life in tension with others and hosting the presence of God.

When the King is there, He does everything for you.
It is through community that God speaks the loudest. You’re giftings, destiny and call get sharpened in community.
