To Make Room

Speaker:
Service Type:

In this season, we believe that God is releasing a new season of revival. There is something significant God is doing at this time, even with all the difficulties of this pandemic and struggling economies.

When revival breaks out, it’s not going to be small but big, with the multitudes coming to know Jesus.

Revival will require a complete change of our mindsets and our hearts, requiring our time and sacrifice and being spontaneously led by the Holy Spirit and giving control to Him. Revival will require our humility and the laying down of ourselves and our idols.

If revival is going to pour out, we need to make space for God to pour His Spirit out. If we are cluttered with so many things, we won’t have space for God anymore.

Even if we don’t have space, we can make space for Him even in a moment of our day.

We cannot do things the same way we did before because when God moves it will be Sovereign and everything will change.

Whenever something new happens, we have to get rid of the old in order to make room for the new.

“And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:1-5, 10-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Based on this passage of Scripture:

1. We need to get rid of our constricting mindsets and make room for Holy Spirit thoughts & desires. (Romans 8:5)

2. We need to ask the Lord to remove pride and entitlement, to make room for humility and compassion. (James 4:6, Romans 12:3)

3. We need to get rid of being rigid, and make room for love. (Mark 12: 30-31)
