Worry, anxiety and irrational fear are all from the same basket. Irrational fears could be due chemical imbalances or organic problems in the body. This is not what we are talking about today.

We are talking about extreme worry, anxiety and fear. There are spiritual implications for this kind of fear.

Job was a prosperous, blameless and good man. Then one day he lost everything.

There’s a startling statement he makes. Job 3:25 stated that what he feared came to pass.

That means that there’s a possibility the thing that you’re fearful about could become real.

Job often offered burnt sacrifices just in case his children had sinned, out of fear. We sometimes go to God and pray in fear rather than in faith. We tell God how big our problem is rather than telling the mountain how big God is.

A telescope is used to see big objects. A microscope is used to see small objects. We often have a telescopic view of the problem and a microscopic view of God, rather than the other way around.

The Word of God is made to consume us, not just to give us information. This has to change.We have to fight this fear knowing who our our God is.

Our world even justifies being fearful.
Who do we believe? The world or the Bible?

Matthew 6:25, Philippians 4:6 shows that God knew we would have fear, anxiety and fear. Yet He told us that we would not need to be fearful.

There is a fear that comes with pestilence, disease and especially now during this pandemic. Yet, the irrational fear must be fought with the Word of God. (Psalm 91:7, 9)

This is all is related to Father’s Day as well.

There is a spirit behind this fear, which tells us that we are without a father. It is an orphan spirit that tells us we have to be self-reliant, are without anything and even abandoned.

Romans 8: 15 says we have received a spirit of adoption by whom we cry out Abba, Father and not fear. We can call our God, Daddy or Father.

Jesus came to the earth for two reasons.
Jesus came:
1. to make the Way, the Truth and the Life to introduce God to us as Father and
2. to make sure the relationship would go on for eternity; this frees us from the slavery to fear. (Galatians 4:6-7)

Our heavenly Father is our provider.
We have a heavenly Father who longs to be a Father to us. He is a God who knows our needs and what is best for us. God has a perfect purpose for our lives. When we leave our heavenly Father, we lose purpose. Our heavenly Father longs to have fellowship and makes sure He provides for all of us. The heavenly Father will never leave nor forsake us.

1. We do not need to have an orphan spirit.
2. Our heavenly Father is our good Shepherd.
3. Our heavenly Father is a provider to all that we need.
4. Our heavenly Father will never leave us nor forsake us.
