Pentecost

Service Type:

Around the world, the churches celebrate Pentecost. (Acts 2:2-8)

40 days after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus, the disciples gathered with one accord in the upper room.

The sound of a rushing wind filled the room. This is the sound of revival.

Nothing comes from heaven without the power of God. They had tongues of fire appear above their heads and were filled with the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues.

The people marveled at this.

This was the first Pentecost and was the beginning of the church.

Jesus said he will build the church. (Matthew 6:18)

In April 9th 1906 the Azusa street revival broke out. This revival was greater than the first and was a revival of sanctification. (John 3:34)

This massive move of God lasted from 1906 -1915. This started and unexpected thirst and expectation for a move of God.

The world is gearing towards the end of the age and the fulfillment of the signs of the coming of Jesus.

Famine is in the land, rumors of war and pandemic are happening.

The world in this difficult time is embracing itself for a 3rd Pentecost.

Acts 2:17-21 speaks of the third Pentecost.

The early church prayed seriously and waited for the move of Pentecost.

The third Pentecost will happen (Acts 2:17) and will pour His Spirit out without measure.

That which the Lord will be revealed in dreams and visions. (Acts 2: 17-20)

The third Pentecost will see the day of the coming of the Lord.

We can’t stand at the sidelines; the sharing of the Gospel and this pouring out of the Spirit requires our participation and involvement.

700 years before the first Pentecost, Isaiah prophesied benefits of the Pentecost.

“Thus says the Lord who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you: ‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; They will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.’”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44:2-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
