Trusting God in Challenging Times
God is bringing us into a season of acceleration and breaking off all delay. Delay is not denial. A season of restoration, restitution and rebuilding is coming.
In order for these seasons to unfold, there are 4 things to do:
1. Spend time in the presence of God (2 Corinthians 3:17)
2. Trust God like never before. Miracles happen in the toughest times. (Psalm 60: 11-12
3. Expect a great harvest (John 4:35)
4. Learn to lean on the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16)
Trust God Like Never Before
God alone holds the power for absolute trust and worthiness.
“Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:5-8 NKJV
Trusting God in difficult times is the challenge for every believer. Faith is meant for difficult times; a faith that is not tested is not worthy.
Faith is the privilege of every believer.
“who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,”
Romans 4:18-20 NKJV
Faith is adversity proof.
“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.”
Habakkuk 3:17-19 NKJV
Purpose of message:
Faith attracts God. Faith is adversity proof. Those founded in the Word will not be wrecked in their faith.
God will not look at our need or impossibilities but our faith in Him. Faith rewards you. (Hebrews 11:6)
Faith receives that which cannot be seen or felt. Get sucked and saturated in the Word of God and become people of faith.
He who called you is faithful and will do it.
How can my faith become a reality? To believe God for the things He wants you to have. These are the difficult seasons in which we must believe in God more than before.
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
Mark 11:22-24 NKJV
Three Simple Principles from this Scripture:
1. The battlefield of your faith is your mind. Make up your mind to believe God absolutely. (Romans 10: 11, James 1: 6-7) Faith is your choice (Mark 9:23) Your support system for your choices is God (Philippians 4: 19)
2. The defaulter of your faith is your mouth. When your mouth is not in sync with your heart, it nullifies your faith. Faith is a spirit (Mark 11:23 , 2 Corinthians 4:13). Your mind makes the decision to believe and your mouth gives power to it.
3. Your heart is the seat bed for all your miracle expectations, the place where the miracles are birthed (Romans 4:17, Genesis 1:3, 1 Kings 18:41) Every miracle has a resounding sound in your heart before it becomes a reality. The power of imagination for God’s power. In the right season, you will receive your miracles.
Let’s get ready for a miracle.
