Wait

Speaker:
Service Type:

Nobody likes to wait. We are all impatient.

You may be waiting for a job, to be healed, for situations to change etc.
Everyone is waiting.

One of the toughest things in life is to wait on God and His promises. The word wait appears 116 times in the Bible.

3Ws on Waiting:

Why do we wait?

“For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God works for us but we have to wait on Him. We don’t work for Him as He needs nothing. He works for all of us.

Joseph had to wait for His promises and was sent ahead for God’s purposes. (Psalm 105: 17-19) Joseph had to wait through the whole process.

God is doing something bigger and greater in the waiting for us.

What do we do when we wait?

“to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:3-5‬ ‭NKJV

Jesus instructed the disciples to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit. While they waited they constantly prayed and were continually praising.

Pray and praise God has you wait.

Waiting is a warfare and is hard. While waiting, pray and be amongst God’s children.

Every situation we are in is different. Some waiting is like rising up on eagle’s wings. Wait patiently for God for that gust of wind to help you up rise above the storm.

Or

We can also be made to run without growing weary. God doesn’t always remove the problem but He will run alongside us through the whole process.

Sometimes miracles don’t happen but He promises He will be with us. He will give us strength to endure and be changed in the process.

We are waiting because God has something bigger than what we could possibly imagine for each one us.

The waiting can only be possible when we surrender the wait to God, pray and have fellowship with other believers.
