Whom Shall I Send and Who Shall Go for Us?
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.””
Isaiah 6:8 NKJV
This verse is the call of God on our lives.
God is calling us because we were bought out of darkness into the light, made new and have a purpose in life.
He called us with a purpose which is to tell others about Jesus, from generation to generation. Someone was willing to be obedient and answer God’s call and share the Gospel with us. As a result of their obedience, we have a purpose in life.
We likewise are called to share the gospel with others and save them from an eternity in hell.
Why should we respond?
1. We have an attitude of gratitude and love for what Jesus has done and doing something for Him, sharing this good thing with others. A response to His love and being obedient and willing to go where He wants us to go and what He wants us to do (2 Kings 4:16)
2. We are saved to save others by leading them to Jesus. The Good News is something that we need to share.
3. The urgency of this hour and season we are in: Many are dying and need to hear of what Jesus has done. We are running short of time for people hearing the Good News (Ezekiel 3:18) God doesn’t want anyone to perish but have eternal life. We must do our part.
This call is to each and every believer. Each of one of us need to arise, be obedient, willing and answer this call of God. We just to need to be available and respond to Him.
Are we willing to say, “Here I am. Send me.”? Are we willing to answer this call?
As the saying goes, “The whole Gospel to the whole world, through the whole church.” And you are included.
