“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The reason for Christmas is you and I. Jesus came for us. (John 3:16-17)

Purpose:

Let this Christmas bring a brand new beginning to you. Christmas brings the newness of God to you. (2 Corinthians 5: 16-17)

There are 5 aspects of newness that God wants to give to us, wrapped in His love.

His Name is:

1. Wonderful: The newness of life. He has a brand new life waiting for you. (2 Corinthians 5:17, John 10:10, 1 John 3:1)

2. Counselor: The newness of rest, bringing it to us as the Counselor. (Matthew 11:28)

3. Prince of Peace: He comes to bring the newness of peace. (John 14:27, Ephesians 2:14)

4. Mighty God: A God that has the power to do miracles and brings healing and divine health. (Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 53:5, Malachi 4:2)

5. Everlasting Father: Father’s bring confidence to the children. Let’s enter into the new year with a heart of confidence. Putting our trust in God replaces fear with confidence. The good word is Jesus. (John 14:1, Proverbs 12:25, John 1:12, 1 John 1:9)

Jesus is a mighty God. What is impossible and unable with us is possible and able with God. (Mark 10:27, Mark 9:23)
